The Finished Animatic
Here is the complete animatic, showing you what the finished film will be like shot by shot. I hope you will like it! Be sure to share your thoughts in the comments below! :) It is not too late to make changes if something doesn't make sense to you, or if you have ideas for improvements.
The last two scenes are secret until the premiere of the finished film, but I have sketched it as well for my own planning. With them included, the total run time of the animatic is 8 minutes and 32 seconds, a whole one and a half minute longer than I first approximated while reading the finished script. I assume I hold the actions a bit longer when editing it as a video than when imagining it in my head. It will be interesting to see the finished film later and compare it what I have here, and see how close I was. Perhaps the real film will be much shorter if I cut it tighter when I see it all in real motion.
This also marks the end of the pre-production phase of the film! Now I know how I want everything to be. All I have to do now is to make the entire thing! I hope you will continue to read this blog as the real journey in some ways starts now.
If you like the project, please consider following it!
If you would like to, please consider pre-ordering a download of the finished film when it is done. It will help me finish the film faster. Thank you in advance.
I will start the production by modelling the different 3D models needed for the film. I will begin with some of the things that aren't very close to the camera, and therefor doesn't have the same demands, as a kind of warm-up. First of all, I plan on doing the hospital room itself, with all its elements on the walls and ceiling. See you when it is done!
Regards,
Gustav
